For years I handed our travelers a printed road book, then PDFs. They loved them… until they had to find the rental car booking number in a Kona parking lot with no signal. So we built our own travel app. It’s included with every tailor-made trip at no extra cost, and it keeps your whole stay on your phone, even offline. (Please note: the app itself is currently in French.)
Why our own app?
In Hawaii, signal vanishes fast: on the Road to Hāna, deep in Waimea Canyon, in the volcano park. And a multi-island trip means lots of paperwork. As soon as your trip is confirmed, I prepare your personal guide: day-by-day program, accommodation, cars, inter-island flights and the best places on each island, hand-picked and tried by us.

“My trip”: one day at a time
Every morning the “My trip” tab shows your day: stops, times, driving times, sunrise and sunset. A map of the archipelago shows your islands in the order of your stay. Add your international flights yourself: they appear on your arrival and last day, and you can send them to me in one tap.
An illustrated map for every island
Each island has its own clay-style illustrated map with towns, roads and highlights. Beaches, hikes, snorkeling, restaurants, cafés, groceries: all our places are there. A “Directions” button opens Google Maps, and the app shows how far each place is from you, in miles and kilometers, with the driving time. “Near me” lists the closest places first.

Bookings and tickets, even offline
Inter-island flights, cars, accommodation, activities: everything in one place, with booking numbers and PDF vouchers saved on your phone. For sites you book yourself, like Haleakalā sunrise or Hāʻena, the app tells you when bookings open and takes you straight to the official website.

Weather, ocean and safety
The app highlights the forecast for the island you’re on, and the “4-island weather” page lets you compare at a glance, along with north and south shore ocean conditions, sunrise and sunset.
It also shows official National Weather Service alerts for your island – serious hazards only, such as high surf, flash floods or strong winds – with clear advice. On the Big Island, a direct link to the official USGS webcams lets you follow Kīlauea. The Emergency page works offline: 911, nearest hospitals, consulate, and a confirmation screen before calling 911.

Travel journal: keep your memories
Tap “I’ve been here” to tick off places and add a note or a photo: your journal fills itself day after day, and it stays on your phone.

How to install it
- You travel with us: the app is included with all our tailor-made trips.
- Your private access: before you leave, you get a personal link and a code.
- On your home screen: open the link on your phone and add it to your home screen – nothing to download from a store.
