Is the agency real?
Yes. Clementine in Hawaii (Maui Connections LLC DBA Clementine in Hawaii) is a travel agency registered in the State of Hawaii, founded in 2005, and can be verified on the State's official website.
How does booking work?
A 20-minute phone call to define your plans, wishes and budget. We suggest the best-suited package and adjust it. Once you approve the plan, you pay online through a secure link and we book everything. One month before you leave, you receive your documents and a detailed day-by-day guide.
Are international flights included?
No. We can help with your tickets through our partner OptionWay: you receive a link to preferential fares on a secure payment platform.
Do I need a visa or an ESTA?
Hawaii is part of the United States. Most European travellers need a valid biometric passport and an ESTA travel authorisation, applied for at least 72 hours before departure on the official site esta.cbp.dhs.gov.
Should I get travel insurance?
Yes, it's recommended: healthcare in the US is excellent but very expensive. We partner with Chapka Assurances (Cap Explorer plan).
How long is the journey, and what's the time difference?
From France, about 24 hours including a stopover, often in Los Angeles or San Francisco. Hawaii is 12 hours behind France.
Do I need an international driving licence?
For stays under 3 months, a European licence is enough. The credit card must be in the main driver's name. All our cars are automatic and fully insured.

How can I pay?
Visa, Mastercard, Amex or bank transfer, through a secure payment link. The payment can be split between several travellers.
